JAMMU, Nov 23: Satwari police today seized a truck and rescued 13 bovine animals from it at Jeevan Nagar.
Police said a truck No. 9381 JK02R was seized by Satwari police from Jeevan Nagar this morning. While the bovine smugglers remained untraced, police recovered 13 bovine animals from it.
A case against the bovine smugglers has been registered at Satwari police station under FIR No. 214/2013 and Section 188 RPC and 3 Prevention of Cruelty Act.
Police have started searches for the truck owner and the bovine smugglers.
Police party headed by SHO Satwari Inspector Arvind Samyal made the arrest.
