Admn gears up for grand ‘Kissan Sampark Abhiyan’ at 47 sites in Ganderbal

Srinagar, Apr 22: The district administration of Ganderbal has geared up for the conduct of the grand ‘Kissan Sampark Abhiyan’-which is about the orientation of farmers of the district under the Holistic Agriculture Development Program-set to be held at 47 locations in the district starting from April 24-August 31 across 7 blocks.
The authorities have issued the appropriate guidelines in this regard, and the Deputy Commissioner, Ganderbal, has notified the concerned officials, who have been assigned many tasks to ensure the Abhiyan is seamless and successful.
The Chief Agriculture Officer, Ganderbal, Chief Horticulture Officer, Ganderbal, and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Ganderbal have been tasked with ensuring broad publicity of the programme among farmers through their field staff, as well as ensuring farmer participation in the Programme on the scheduled dates.
Furthermore, according to the directives, Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal has been directed to ensure the deployment of sufficient staff for capturing Programme events and uploading them to the AKAM Portal, while it has been noted that the entire process will be carried out under the close supervision of BDO Concerned. “It shall also be ensured that concerned VLW remains present in the Program & coordinates with the Agriculture Department.”
As per the orders issued, Junaid Hakim, who is the District Development Manager, National Bank for Rural Bank and Agricultural Development, for the conduct of the event, has been asked to ensure the presence of FPOs in the Program as per the schedule of the program.
Furthermore, all departments/officers have been asked to coordinate and ensure full cooperation with the District Nodal Officers to successfully carry out the Programme, while the Nodal Officers will identify suitable venues where Panchayats Ghars are not available and submit a consolidated list so that appropriate directions are issued.
The Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Ganderbal will ensure the participation of Cooperative Societies, while the District Lead Bank Manager, Ganderbal, will ensure the installation of stalls at the scheduled venues for the distribution of Smart KCC Cards among the farmers participating in the programme on the scheduled dates.
“The Kisan Sampark Abhiyan which will be conducted throughout J&K with the aid of PRIs and focus on farmers’ orientation and skill-building courses for all measures, will ensure that the plan arrives at the fields and train our farmers to face new challenges, discover new opportunities, and make farming accessible and profitable,” officials said.
Lastly, officials from the Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries, Sericulture Chinar Development Officer, Floriculture Ganderbal, and Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Ganderbal have been instructed to give strict instructions to their respective subordinates as well as field staff to remain at the disposal of District Nodal Officer (DSHO) HAM) until the conclusion of Schedule Programme “Kissan Sampark Abhiyan.”
The Deputy Commissioner has noted that if any report regarding any officer having shown a lackadaisical approach towards the directions, is received, “strict disciplinary action be initiated as warranted wider rules regulations.”
