JAMMU, Nov 24: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Coordinator for Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Abdul Hamid Choudhary today said that arrest of former Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) chairman for his involvement in the sale of Common Entrance Test (CET) papers of MBBS reveals how Government had tried to fit “round balls in square pegs”.
It was because of wrong selection of officials coupled with large scale reappointments of many corrupt and under-qualified persons at higher positions that such cases had surfaced, he added.
Many corrupt, inefficient and under-qualified officials are still holding many important positions causing huge losses to State exchequer as well as hampering the development in a bigger way, he alleged.
