Srinagar, Apr 23: Police in Baramulla have arrested 2 drug peddlers and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
A Police party of PS Tangmarg under the supervision of SDPO Tangmarg Shri Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS during routine patrolling at Ferozpora Tangmarg intercepted 2 suspicious persons who tried to flee from the spot on seeing the police party but were apprehended tactfully.
During the search, police said, 48 tablets of SpasmoProxyvon Plus & 75 tablets of Alprax were recovered from their possession.
They have been identified as Waseem Ahmad Dar son of Mohd Sultan Dar resident of Watalpora & Javid Mohiuddin Bhat son of Gh Mohiuddin Bhat resident of Allah Pora Karhama. “They have been shifted to the police station where they remain in custody.”
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tangmarg and further investigation has been initiated.
