National conference on G20 Goals tomorrow

JAMMU, Apr 24: Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jammu, Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce, and Industry (DICCI), and Govt of Jammu and Kashmir are organizing a National Conference on India’s G20 Goals: Priorities, Prospects, and Way Forward for Creating Inclusive and Sustainable Society” on April 26, 2023 at the Convention Centre, Jammu.
Chief guest for the inaugural session will be Manoj Sinha, Lt Governor of J&K Union Territory while Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh will the chief guest for the valedictory ceremony.
Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K and Alok Kumar, Principal Secretary, Higher Education, Govt of Jammu and Kashmir will be the guest of honour and special guest, respectively in the inaugural session while MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to Lt Governor J&K will be the guests of honour in the valedictory session.
The inaugural event will have addresses by Dr Milind P Kamble, Chairman, BoG, IIM Jammu; Prof Y K Gupta, President, AIIMS Jammu; Dr Sharad K Saraf, Chairman, BoG, IIT Jammu; Prof B S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu; Prof Shakti Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu and Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu; Dr Baldev Prakash, MD & CEO, J&K Bank; Dr Chandrajit Banerjee, Director-General, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII); Ravi Kumar Narra, President, DICCI and Sanjiv Dangi, Vice-President, DICCI.
Prof B S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu stated that India’s leadership in addressing key issues such as climate change, digitalization, gender equality and sustainable development will be transformative for itself and the entire world at large.
Prof Manoj Singh Gaur, Director, IIT Jammu, emphasized that National Conference on G20 Goals will facilitate greater knowledge-sharing in priority areas.
Dr Shakti Gupta, Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Jammu reiterated that under the G20 motto of One Earth, One Family, One Future, India is working towards greater collaboration and sustained efforts across the digital health ecosystem. Leveraging its G20 presidency.
Prof. Jabir Ali, Dean of Academics, IIM Jammu cited that the National Conference features five interesting panel discussions. with many esteemed keynote speakers and panel members on topics ranging from Enhancing G20 Collaboration: Roles of Engagement Groups, Enhancing Digital Transformation, Global Trade, and Business Recovery: Challenges and the way forward, NextGen and G20 Presidency, and University Connect: Enhancing Global Collaboration in Higher Education.
