JAMMU, Apr 24: Former minister and senior JKPCC leader, Mula Ram along with Hari Singh Chib, President District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural have accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of being B team of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the upcoming Jallandhar by-poll which is conducting itself just for the benefit of BJP in these polls.
The senior Congress leaders from Jammu stated this while addressing an election meeting here this evening. The said meeting was called in support of Congress candidate Karamjit Kour Choudhary at Lambi Gali here this evening.
While addressing the Punjab Congress leaders, workers and activists, Mula Ram said that BJP is adopting a strategy in areas wherever it feels its position is weak. At such places it is pushing forward AAP on the front as its B team for which AAP will have to pay a heavy price. He said that AAP Govt in Punjab has already proved to be an utter failure on all fronts having taken this state from bad to worse. He said that like the BJP it made hollow promises never to be fulfilled.
He said that AAP National convener Arvind Kejriwal had promised that AAP Govt will directly deposit Rs 1000 in the accounts of women as part of its women welfare and empowerment commitment. He had said that this would be the world’s biggest welfare and empowerment. Unfortunately nothing of the sort has happened till date thus proving them as ace liars. He said that the people of Punjab have now understood AAP’s game plan and can’t get befooled any more. He appealed to the people of Punjab to teach AAP and BJP a lesson in the upcoming polls.
Hari Singh president District Congress Committee (DCC) Jammu Rural while addressing the meeting said that people are fed up with AAP Government’s misgovernance as the drug abuse is on the rise and terrorism seems to be sprouting yet again in Punjab. Law and order situation existing in Punjab today clearly indicates that the perpetrators of crime and the corrupt are hand in glove with the AAP leaders in Punjab. He said that AAP had also promised to end unemployment in Punjab but the same continues to be a distant dream never to be fulfilled. He said that Punjab people are direly in need of a change in governance and the people should support Congress.
