KATHUA, Apr 24: In order to commemorate the World Book Day today District Library Kathua organised an exhibition of books with the mission to highlight the importance of books.
In the exhibition readers of District Library Kathua, and prominent citizens actively participated and read the available books.
The exhibition was inaugurated by renowned writer M. L Toofan, (retd. IRS) Officer. Manuj Kesar, chairman Press Club Kathua and Madan Sharma senior correspondent were present on the occasion.
While addressing Sunil Sharma in charge District Library Kathua briefed the details of the programme.
He threw light on the history and significance of World Book Day.
Chief guest Madan Lal Toofan appreciated the steps taken by the District Library to aware the youth about the importance of this day. He put all sincere efforts to motivate the students to make habit of reading books in their life.
The event received an overwhelming response and was appreciated by all.
Chairman Press Club assured full support to the District Library, Kathua. Programme was among others attended by Baldev Raj Bhagat, Senior Member, Vijay Kumar, Jatinder Kumar, Romesh Lal Sharma.
