JAMMU, Apr 25: Government today ordered appointment of 177 Combined Competitive Examination (CCE) qualified candidates of 2021 in the junior scale of the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, J&K Police (Gazetted) services, and J&K Accounts (Gazetted) services in the pay level 8 (47600-151100).
Of the total 177 candidates, 53 were appointed in the junior scale of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services, 68 in J&K Police (Gazetted) services, and 56 in J&K Accounts (Gazetted) services.
As per an order, the appointees shall be on probation for a period of two years during which they shall undergo training and pass the departmental examination as prescribed under rules.
It further said that the candidates allotted to Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service, J&K Police (G) and J&K Accounts (G) Services, shall report to the Director General, J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPA&RD) for undergoing foundation course as per the training policy notified vide Government order number 916-GAD of 2019 dated September 8, 2019.
Additionally, it has been ordered that the candidates allotted to J&K Police (G) service and J&K Accounts (G) services, after completion of the foundation course at J&K IMPA&RD, shall report to the Director General of Police, J&K and Director General, Accounts and Treasuries, J&K respectively for undergoing the prescribed training while as the candidates allotted to Junior JKAS shall continue to undergo the prescribed training at J&K IMPA&RD.
“The candidates who fail to join within a period of 21 days from the date of issuance of the appointment order shall forego their right to appointment which shall be deemed to have been cancelled abinitio without any further notice,” read the order.
It has been further ordered that the names in the appointment order shall not be construed in order of their seniority which shall be determined by their respective cadre controlling departments in terms of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control, and Appeal) Rules, 1956.
“The appointment/allocation of the candidates to the respective services shall be subject to the outcome of the writ petition(s), if any, pending adjudication before any competent court of law,” read the order.
Pertinently, the result of J&K CCE 2021 was declared by the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Commission on January 21, 2023 followed by which the PSC recommended the selection of the candidates in different services.
