JAMMU, Nov 25: The Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association has urged the State Government to remove pay anomalies in the grades of the clerical cadre employees.
In a meeting of the representatives of the Association held under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik ( president), the speakers condemned the attitude of the Government for deliberately delaying the demand already agreed upon during dialogue with employees leadership. They said that Government should honour its commitment and do justice with the clerical cadre employees.
They pointed out that after the 5th Pay Commission, the pay scales of Patwaris, teachers, medical assistants, stock assistants etc were upgraded from existing Rs 3050-4910 to Rs 4000-6000 but clerical cadre employees were deprived of this scale. He said earlier the qualification was also 12th for this cadre and now it has been fixed as graduation. The Government must provide justice to the cadre, they maintained.
