GMC sweeper held with 200 gm charas

JAMMU, Nov 25: A sweeper posted at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) along with 200 grams of charas from Maheshpura Chowk area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar Police Station.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, police party from Bakshi Nagar Police Station led by SHO Dalip Singh laid a naka at Maheshpura Chowk and intercepted a Santro car bearing registration number JKO2X-0241.
During search, police recovered 200 grams of charas and arrested the narcotic smuggler, who has been identified as Thomas Masih, son of Danni Masih, resident of ward number 5, Arnia.
The accused was working as a sweeper at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
A case under FIR number 170/13 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bakshi Nagar Police Station and investigation started.
