KATHUA, Apr 27: Kuldeep Singh was elected as president of Kathua Truck Operator Union here today.
A meeting of the Kathua Truck Operator Union was held here to discuss the module of election of president which was due after completion of tenure of past president.
The meeting of 700 Union members was held and Babu Ram proposed the name of Kuldeep Singh as next president of the Union. All The Union members in one voice supported him and elected him president unanimously.
He was warmly welcomed and profusely garlanded by Union members after his election to the post.
After taking the charge of president, Kuldeep Singh said that he will work for the welfare of Union and create avenues so that drivers get work.
On the occasion, Joginder Pal Mishra, Bhupinder Singh Baba, Jatinder Singh Babbu, Darshan Lal Raina, Surinder Singh, Harjeet Singh, Gurdeep Singh, Sanjeev Kala, Didar Singh, Upkar Singh Kara, Harmeet Singh Meeta and Bhupinder Singh Bittu were also present.
