REASI, Apr 28: District Police Reasi has booked a notorious criminal under Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Amphalla Jammu.
According to Police, Ajay Singh (22), son of Raghubir Singh, resident of Gunni Parthal, Katra, was found involved in multiple cases under FIR number 82/20 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act ; FIR number 128/20 U/S 341/323 IPC; FIR No. 33/21 U/S 341/323/ 506 IPC; FIR No. 74/22 U/S 341/323 IPC and FIR No. 106/23 U /S 341/323/ 506 IPC registered at Police station Katra.
In view of his continuous involvement in criminal activities, it became imperative to book him under stringent law to save younger generation from indulging in crimes of serious nature and preventing him to commit serious and heinous crime in future also, said Police.
On the directions of SSP Reasi Amit Gupta, his dossiers for Public Safety Act was framed and sent for necessary detention order to District Magistrate who formally issued the order of his detention under PSA. On the orders of Babila Rakwal District Magistrate, Reasi, Ajay Singh was arrested and lodged in District Jail Amphalla Jammu under Public Safety Act, said Police.
