RAMNAGAR, Apr 28: A Government school teacher has been arrested for uploading private videos and photographs of a girl student on social media.
Police action was taken following a written complaint lodged by father of the girl at Police Station Ramnagar. As per the complaint, the said teacher namely Sahil Gupta of Ramnagar had circulated private videos and photos of 18 year old girl, who is student of the same school where the accused has been posted.
In the complaint, father of the victim has further alleged that the accused Teacher was blackmailing the girl and threatening her that he would commit suicide if she does not marry him.
Taking cognizance of the complaint, SHO Ramnagare Inspector Sohan Singh swung into action and arrested the accused Teacher. A case FIR number 46/2023, under section 509 IPC, 66E/67A IT Act has been registered in this connection at the Police Station Ramnagar.
The SHO told the Excelsior that further investigation into the case was going on.
