Two drug peddlers held with Ganja

JAMMU, Apr 28: Police claimed today that they have arrested two drug peddlers from Trikuta Nagar area here and recovered 5 kilograms of Ganja from their possession.
A police spokesperson said that a team of Police Station Bahu Fort led by SDPO East Sayed Zaheer Abbas Jafari assisted by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Shiv Dev Singh and PSI Adarsh while on patrolling duty near Grand Inn Hotel Trikuta Nagar Jammu rounded up two suspects identified as Shabi Lal Bhat of Chattisgarh at present RS Pura and Karan of Chattisgarh at present Panjtirthi.
“During search of the suspects, he said, 5 kilograms of Ganja was recovered,” said the police spokesperson.
“Accordingly, the accused have been booked in case FIR number 133/2023 under sections 8/20 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and further investigation is on,” he added.
