JAMMU, Apr 29: The up-gradation work of lanes and drains in Bazigar Basti has been started here today by Sham Lal Basson, Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) from Ward number 48.
The lanes and drains shall be upgraded with an expenditure of Rs. 16 lakh.
Speaking on this occasion Basson said that there will be balanced development in all the localities of the Ward and work of lanes and drains shall also be started in other areas of the Ward very soon.
“Works worth crores of rupees has been started for the construction of parks, Bahu Fort road, markets, multi-storey parking, construction/up-gradation of Nallahs etc,” he maintained adding: “Water ATMs will be installed at various places on Bahu Fort road soon.”
The JMC Councillor informed that widening of Bahu Fort road will be started soon along with beautification works.
He assured the people for smooth water supply and said that one tube-well is being dug at Sheikh Nagar and two heavy motors will be installed within days to improve water supply of Bahu Fort area.
