Stolen property worth Rs 8 lakh recovered

REASI, Apr 29: Police here today recovered stolen property worth Rs. 8 lakh.
As per police sources Bhaskar Sharma, Project Manager lodged a complaint with police regarding theft of one tractor trolley after which a case in FIR No. 110/2023 U/S 379 IPC was registered at Police Station Katra. Similarly, Shabir Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Shajroo also complained regarding theft of splendor motorbike, to which a case in FIR No. 118/2023 U/S 379 was also registered at Police Station Katra.
During investigation, special teams were constituted which recovered both the stolen items and arrested three persons in this regard who were identified as Sher Ali, son of Mohd Sadiq, resident of Gajansoo, Jammu; Barkat Ali, son of Saif Ali, resident of Raipur Mandi, Jammu and Mohd Sher Khan, son of Mohd Hanif, resident of Gajansoo.
Further investigation in these cases were going on.
The recoveries were made under the supervision of SHO Katra, Nishant Gupta and SDPO Katra, Surinder Singh under overall supervision of SP Katra, Amit Basin.
Amit Gupta, SSP Reasi appealed shopkeepers of Reasi to install CCTV cameras in and around their premises for surveillance on criminal elements in the society.
