Police nab seven vagrants

SAMBA, Apr 29: Police in Samba District have apprehended seven individuals for vagrancy near the ‘chitta’ hotspot in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bari Brahmana.
As per a statement, the vagrants have been identified as Rajeev Singh, Vashu Sharma, Sahil Massi, Vikram Singh, Krishan Lal, Sagar Dogra, and Pritam Singh.
“All of them were caught in Balole Khad, Bari Brahmana, and legal action is underway,” read the statement.
It said that the operation was carried out by a police team led by SHO Bari Brahmana, Sunil Sharma, Incharge District NDPS team Inspector Sumit Sharma, and SI Chaman Lal, under the supervision of Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary and overall supervision of SSP Samba Benam Tosh.
Meanwhile, the SSP Samba, Benam Tosh has urged the parents, guardians, teachers, and elders of the society to advise senior students and youth to avoid wandering around known ‘chitta’ hotspots.
