JAMMU, Apr 30: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) today said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ was a ‘one-sided’ communication in which he did not speak on important issues such as unemployment, high fuel prices, economy, issues related to farmers and agrarian crisis.
“At a time when fuel prices in the country have soared sky-high, PM Narendra Modi seems to be fixated on his election campaigns as he chose to speak about those in his radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’,” State Spokesperson AAP, Partap Singh Jamwal said while raising some pertinent questions about the PM’s choice of the topic.
Partap Singh Jamwal criticised the 100th episode of “Mann Ki Baat” by Modi alleging that the PM has used the programme to reflect the views and aspirations of the people rather than expressing his own opinions.
Partap alleged that the Prime Minister did not speak on unemployment, high fuel prices, the deteriorating situation in Jammu & Kashmir, etc.
He charged the Government with failure in maintaining peace, normalcy, transparent & fair recruitment in Govt jobs, law and order in the J&K. Jamwal also raised doubts over the Government’s “intention” in running the ‘Beti Bachao and Beti Padhao’ campaign and said hundreds of Anganwadi workers and helpers, Home guards were holding protest from last many years.
The AAP leader said that during the “Mann ki Baat”, PM did not break his silence on the allegations raised by former Jammu & Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik and not even a single word was spoken about the protest at the Jantar Mantar against the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) and its president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh for sexually harassing the female players.
