RAJOURI, Apr 30: Continuing the drive against drug abuse, District Police Rajouri arrested two notorious drug- peddlers and recovered 450 grams of heroin from their possession.
A police spokesman said that during routine checking and frisking at Lam, a police team led by SHO Nowshera Rajesh Jasrotia assisted by PSI Kunal Bhargav under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Tussif Ahmed and ASP Nowshera Mohd Rafi Giri noticed suspicious moment of two persons, who when signalled to stop tried to run away from the spot but were caught.
They were identified as Mohd Arif, son of Mohd Shabbir from Samati in Rajouri and Maharoof Ahmed, son of Mohd Nasir from Chilllas. During frisking 450 gms heroin was recovered from their possession. A case FIR No. 94/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered against them.
