J&K adds 43 new COVID cases

JAMMU, Apr 30: Jammu and Kashmir today reported 43 more COVID-19 positive cases, 20 from Jammu division and 23 from Kashmir valley.
The maximum number of 16 cases were reported from Jammu district, followed by 5 each from Anantnag, Ganderbal and Shopian districts, 4 from Bandipora, 2 each from Ramban and Budgam, and 1 each from Rajouri, Kathua, Pulwama and Kupwara.
According to the reports, a total of 2,778 COVID tests were conducted in the Union Territory in last 24 hours. The number of active COVID cases in the UT as on date is 373–198 in Jammu division and 175 in Kashmir region whereas 6 COVID patients recovered today, all from Jammu division.
The highest number of 131 active cases is in Jammu district, followed by 33 in Baramulla, 22 in Anantnag, 21 in Srinagar, 18 each in Ganderbal and Doda, 17 in Budgam, 16 in Udhampur, 15 in Kulgam, 14 in Bandipora, 13 in Pulwama, 12 in Samba, 11 each in Kupwara and Shopian districts, 8 in Ramban, 4 in Kathua and 3 each in Rajouri, Poonch and Reasi districts.
