Pulwama, Nov 26: Police apprehended a truck at Gangoo in Pulwama and recovered 325 bottles of codeine from it which were being illegally transported to the district from Srinagar.
A police spokesman said a truck bearing registration number JK13 B 6121 was coming from Srinagar to Pulwama when policemen on naka intercepted it.
“During searches of the truck, 325 bottles of illegal codeine were recovered from it and the truck was immediately seized, arrested its driver Khursheed Ahmad Mir son of Gh. Mohi-ud-din Mir of Drusoo and its its conductor Umer Khursheed Wani son of Khursheed Ahmad Wani of Malikpora, Pulwama,” he said
A case has been registered in the case and started investigation FIR No 322/2013.1/22 under NDPS.
