JAMMU, May 1: Police claimed today that they have seized six vehicles for mining illegally in Jammu District.
A police spokesperson said that one tractor trolley was seized by a team of Nagrota Police Station led by SHO concerned, Inspector Vishav Partap Singh, one dumper by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO concerned, Inspector Harjeet Singh, two vehicles by a team of Police Post Phallain Mandal led by incharge Police Post, PSI Ajesh Singh Jamwal, two vehicles by a team of Police Post Sidhra led by incharge Police Post, PSI Arun Kumar and one tractor trolley by a team of Police Post Chinnore led by incharge Police Post, PSI Rajesh Kumar.
“The DMO Jammu has been intimated about the recoveries made,” said the police spokesperson.
He added that the seized vehicles were mining in violation of a High Court order.
