JAMMU, May 2: The newly appointed Director of School Education Jammu, Ashok Kumar Sharma today chaired a meeting of the officers of the Directorate during which he took stock of the ongoing activities.
During the meeting, the officers, officials and other staff members of the Directorate apprised the Director of the current activities and initiatives in progress. The Director stressed upon the officers and officials to work with zeal, dedication and honesty so as to achieve the goals of the department and to make the teaching learning process more effective.
The Director said that he committed to working tirelessly to improve the education system in the region. “Education is the foundation of progress, and we need to ensure that every child has access to quality education,” he asserted.
Previously, Sharma was serving as the Director of Estates, Jammu and has worked on many other important positions. He also served as Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar where he played a pivotal role in streamlining the administrative machinery.
The officers/officials hoped that with his years of experience in the public sector, the Director will bring in a wealth of expertise and skills to the table.
