39 doctors to monitor process in 8 associated hospitals

SRINAGAR, May 3: Government Medical College (GMC) in Srinagar has formed nine different committees to ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of the e-Sahaj program across its associated hospitals.
These committees have been established in various hospitals, including Govt. SMHS Hospital, Govt. Super Specialty Hospital, Govt. L.D. Hospital, Govt. Bone and Joint Hospital, Govt. Paediatric Hospital, Govt. Chest Disease Hospital, Govt. Psychiatric Hospital, Social and Preventive Medicine, and Kashmir Nursing Home where 39 doctors will oversee the implementation.
Under the e-Sahaj program, hospitals will have to ensure the Scan and Share registration method in the Outpatient Department (OPD) to reduce patient wait times. Additionally, several other processes will be carried out online to facilitate patient visits and ensure hassle-free healthcare services.
The facility of Scan and Share has already been made available in several approved hospitals, with the recent addition being GMC Baramulla, the authorities are considering implementing it in all hospitals across Kashmir.
Notably, GMC Srinagar has insisted on going with the e-Sahaj for achieving and providing digital healthcare services in contrast to what the authorities are implementing in other hospitals across Kashmir.
“The committees which have been formed will ensure the proper implementation of the program so that the aim of making healthcare services hassle-free is fulfilled,” the officials said.
The committee at Govt. SMHS Hospital will include Dr Mufti Mehmood, Dr Rakesh Koul, Dr Sabiya Rashid, Dr Manzoor Latoo, Dr Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, Dr Yasmeen Jabeen, and Dr Muzaffar Zargar.
For Govt. Super Specialty Hospital, the committee will include Dr Showkat A. Kadla, Dr Syed Sajad Nazir, Dr Khalid Mohi Uddin, Dr Shafeeq Alam, Dr Ab. Rashid Kumar, Dr M. Akbar Lone, Dr Nisar Hamdani, Dr Mohammad Hayat, Dr Tajamul Hussain, Dr Mir Sadagat, Dr Javvid Muzamil, Dr Faroog Ahmad, and Dr Jehangir Bakshi.
At L.D. Hospital, the committee will have Dr Rizwana Habib, Dr Masooma Rizvi, Dr Samiya Mufti, and Dr Muzaffar Sherwani, while for the Bone and Joint Hospital, the committee will have Dr Altaf Kawoosa, Dr Imtiyaz Hussain, and Dr Suhail Mian.
For the Govt Paediatrics Hospital, the committee will have Dr Muzaffar Jan, Dr Khurshid Ahmad, and Dr Nazir Choudhary, while for the Govt. Chest Disease Hospital, the committee will have Dr Naveed Nazir, Dr Khurshid Ahmad Dar, and Dr Saleem Tak.
For the Govt. Psychiatric Hospital, the committee will have Dr M. Maqbool Dar, Dr Arshad Ahmad, and Dr Aijaz Baba as members. Dr S.M. Salim Khan and Dr B.S. Tulla will monitor the implementation of the E-Sahaj Program for the Social and Preventive Medicine Department and Govt. Kashmir Nursing Home, respectively.
