JAMMU, May 4: The employees of Family Welfare, MCH and Immunization are without salary for the last over five months.
The aggrieved employees in a meeting held here expressed strong resentment over the attitude of the officers at the Directorate of Family Welfare, who are least bothered about the miseries of the employees and their families being faced due to non-payment of their salaries since November, 2022.
They further pointed out that the matter was taken up with the Director concerned and the district officers but they have failed to resolve the salary issue. They pointed out that the employees were even not paid their wages on Diwali and Eid festivals. Due to non-payment of salaries, the employees are unable to pay school fee of their children and provide healthcare facilities to the ailing elderly members at home.
They sought the intervention of Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary JK UT Dr A K Mehta into the urgent matter.
