One peddler held with 6 kg charas

JAMMU, May 5: Jhajjar Kotli Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 6 kg of charas from his possession.
“A team of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SDPO Nagrota Akash Kohli assisted by SHO Police Station Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Azad Ahmed while on naka duty near Suketar rounded up a suspected person who was coming on a vehicle bearing registration number JK02CL-5269 and on search, recovered 6 kg of charas from his possession,” a police spokesperson said.
He said a case under FIR Number 70/2023 u/s 8/20/25 NDPS Act was registered in this connection at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and the accused got arrested. “The arrested accused was later identified as Prithipal Singh son of Kanhaya Singh, resident of House Number 97/5, Preet Nagar (Digiana, Jammu),” he said, adding, further investigation of the case was going on.
The overall arrests and recoveries were made under the supervision of SP Rural Rahul Charak.
