SRINAGAR, May 5: Police today seized two vehicles and arrested two persons for their involvement in the illegal extraction and transportation of minerals in Baramulla.
A police party under the supervision of SDPO Pattan Imtiaz Ahmed-JKPS assisted by SHO PS Tangmarg arrested two persons and seized two vehicles (tipper & tractor) involved in the illegal extraction and transportation of minor minerals at Ferozpora Nallah Shrai Tangmarg, police said.
“They have been identified as Umar Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Ahad Dar, resident of Check Charat Ram Kunzer & Mohd Amin Ganie, son of Abdul Wahan Ganie resident of Mirchipora,” police said.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tangmarg and further investigation has been initiated.
