Boost to moral education

Sir,
Day in and day out write ups, personal views and editorials appear in the news papers about the importance of moral values and too much emphasis is laid on the introduction of moral education as a subject at school, college and university level. But it may be said that mere introduction of moral education is not going to solve the problem. The school curriculum is already full of varied subjects. Further adition will prove a burden. I think the most vibrant and emphatic part of moral education is that of parents in general and that of a mother in particular. The first four or five years of a child, known as impressionable years spent in the proximity of parents are the most important years and all the good things taught by mother get engraved in the minds of the people. The same can be amplified when we read the life stories of eminent persons who have been taught by their parents by narrating them historical and moral events.
The families especially in old times used to observe social and religious functions which go a long way in inculcating  moral values among children. So, it can be safely said that parents are the most responsible factors for giving an upliftment to the moral values. It is generally observed that the children belonging to affluent and good families have better moral aptitude. So it is impressed upon all families especially the nuclear ones to devote maximum possible time to inculcate good moral values to enable their children become good and responsible citizens.
Yours etc…..
