Police arrests 2 thieves, recovers stolen wheat, seizes vehicle

SAMBA, May 6: Under the guidance of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh, Police has arrested two notorious thieves, solved theft case registered at Police Station (PS), Bari Brahmana, recovered stolen wheat grains and seized the vehicle used for committing theft.
The arrested thieves have been identified as Shazad Qureshi son of Mohammad Fazal of Saaj tehsil, Thana Mandi district Rajouri and Vinay son of Soudagar Mal of Jindu Khurd Bishnah district Jammu. In this regard a case FIR No. 108/2023 u/s 457/380 IPC registered at Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana has been solved and further investigation is in progress.
The arrests were made by a police team of Police Station (PS) Bari Brahmana comprising of SI, Nanak Chand and ASI, Surinder Singh under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram Bhardwaj and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary.
Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh said that in a period of three and half months after the launch of intensive drive against thieves in Samba district, total 76 thieves have been arrested and 40 theft cases have been solved by Samba Police.
