JAMMU, May 7: A 35-year-old man was killed in a hit and run case in Jourian area of Akhnoor.
“Mohinder son of Rattan Lal, resident of Devipur (Akhnoor) sustained serious injuries when an unknown vehicle hit him at Maira (Akhnoor) while he was walking towards his home,” Police sources said, adding, the mishap occurred late last night.
As per sources, the seriously injured Mohinder was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu where he succumbed to his injuries at about 6:30 this evening.
“The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while a case in this connection was registered at concerned Police Station and further investigation started,” sources added.
