JAMMU, Nov 28: Up in arms against alleged attempts to malign the image of Education Department, a strong protest demonstration was organized by the J&K Government School Education Employees Co-ordination Committee, Jammu, near the Press Club, here today.
Led by prominent leaders, including N S Jamwal, Ganesh Khajuria, G M Hamdard, Dr Manzoor, Nusrat Beigh and Bhupinder, the demonstrators raised slogans in support of the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand, who is holding the Education portfolio.
The speakers strongly condemned the statements attempting to malign the image of Education Department and warned such vested interest elements to desist from issuing such baseless and concocted statements. They also appealed the Director School Education to identify such black sheep and initiate stern action against them.
The Co-ordination Committee leaders appreciated the steps taken by Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand for his efforts in bringing the system back on the rails.
