JU to have 8 exam halls at Old Campus

JAMMU, Nov 28: Vice Chancellor Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar today laid the foundation stone of the Examination Block at the Old Campus of the University of Jammu.
With a built up area of over 27800 Sft of all floors, this four storied building would be constructed within a period of 18 months. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 5 crore. The building will have eight halls so that 700 students can appear in examinations at a time. The provision for lifts has also been kept for specially disabled students.
Speaking on the occasion after laying foundation stone, the VC said that with construction of the building at Old Campus, the space constraint being faced by the University for conducting of examinations can be streamlined to a large.
Among others present on the occasion, included  JU Register Prof  Manoj K Dhar,   Controller of Examinations Prof Keshav Sharma,  Prof  V  D  Singh,  Prof  Dipankar Sen Gupta,  Jai Kumar Sharma,   Xen   R  K  Jaffarani,  Dr  Jitender Khajuria    and other officers of the University were also present on the occasion.
