Bhoomi Pujan held at Navdal shrine

Religious function being held at Navdal shrine Tral on Monday.

SRINAGAR, May 8: Navdal Tral Committee (NTC) under the banner of Temples and Shrines Prabandhak Committee, Awantipora, Tral, Kashmir conducted Bhoomi Pujan at Navdal Tirath Sathal which was followed by a Maha Yagya.
A large number of devotees drawn from different parts of Kashmir Valley and Jammu participated in Bhoomi Pujan at this revered shrine which dates back to Puranic period and is linked to culmination of annual yatra of Swami Amarnath Ji where pilgrims after performing the yatra were taking a holy dip and depositing relics.
The Committee has decided to construct a Navdal Bhawan at the holy shrine known as Patli Ganga as per ancient scriptures.
Dr Ramesh Bhat president of Temples and Shrines Prabandhak Committee Tral Awantipora said that the local people of the area came forward and assured all cooperation in performing the construction work and also making annual yatra to the Tirath Sathal a grand success.
Sanjay Raina incharge Navdal Tirath Committee, Executive Member and Construction Committee advisor, O N Koul, Veer Ji Raina, Vinod Pandit, P L Bhat, K L Koul, A K Raina, B L Raina, M L Pandit, Sanjeet Kumar and Deepak Razdan also participated in the function.
Dr Ramesh Bhat has reiterated his appeal to Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha who is also the chairman of SASB to bring this shrine on the map of pilgrimage tourism of Indian and extend all support in restoring the pristine glory of this holy shrine and the nine springs existing in the area.
