Kathua police rescues 2 minor girls, arrests kidnappers

KATHUA, May 8: Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, Shivdeep Singh Jamwal has recovered two minor girls who were kidnapped after arresting their kidnappers. The police team acted swiftly upon receiving the complaints and conducted investigations to ensure that the minors were recovered safely.
Police said in the first instance, an information in written was received on 06/05/2023 at PP Marheen from the complainant Kailash Mandal son of Uttam Lal of Bihar, at present Thangar Morh, tehsil Marheen regarding the kidnapping of his minor daughter name (with held), age 15 years, on 04/05/2023.
Upon receiving this information, a case FIR No. 124/2023, U/S 363 IPC was registered at Police Station (PS) Rajbagh and an investigation was set into motion. After the strenuous efforts of the police team of PS Rajbagh led by Inspector, Tariq Ahmed SHO PS Rajbagh under the guidance of SDPO Border, Dheeraj Singh Katoch, the minor girl was recovered within 48 hours of receiving the information and the accused person namely Rakesh Sahu, son of  Dhan Singh Sahu Aged 22 years, of Chattisgarh, A/p Thangar Morh, tehsil Marheen, district Kathua, was arrested.
In the second instance, another complaint was registered at PS Rajbagh for which a case FIR No. 120/2023 U/S 363/IPC has been registered. As per the complainant on 02-05-2023, (name with held) 15 year old daughter of Gopal Ram, resident of Kishanpur Kandi, tehsil Marheen, was kidnapped by Gur Sevak Singh@Laddu, son of Vikram Singh@Vicky, resident of Gharwadi Taran Taran Amritsar, Punjab. Acting swiftly the victim was recovered by police team and the accused was arrested and further investigation is currently ongoing.
Locals of the area commend the efforts of the Kathua Police for their swift action in recovering the minors and arresting the accused persons.
