JTC, SKF highlight demands

JAMMU, May 8: A meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held at Jagti Township near Nagrota under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita today.
Addressing the meeting Pandita said that Government is doing great injustice with the Kashmiri Pandits who had been forced to live in exile for 33 years.
Pandita said that the Kashmiri Pandits relief holders are worried about the rising inflation while the monthly cash relief of relief holders is quite low which needs to be increased from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 immediately.
He demanded that a new package of 20,000 Jobs be announced for Kashmiri Pandits unemployed youth, over-aged youth who are forced to live an exiled life for 33 years should be given an interest free bank loans up to 25 lakh so that they can start their businesses besides 33 years property loss and pending ex-gratia relief of gutted houses should be paid immediately.
He also demanded three Satellite towns be built in district Baramulla, Srinagar and Anantnag for resettlement of displaced Pandits.
