RAJOURI, May 8: A young woman died after she fell into a deep gorge from a hill in forest area of Kotranka today.
Official sources said that Shabnam Kousar (28), wife of Mohammad Rafi, a resident of Ward No. 6, Kotranka, had gone to went forest area to fetch some natural vegetables. She fell into a deep gorge and died on the spot.
The locals of the area came to know about the matter and informed police. The police reached the spot and shifted the body to Kotranka hospital and then handed over to her family members after conducting a post-mortem in the hospital. The area is witnessing heavy rain from the past couple of days. She slipped into the gorge due to narrow slippery passage, a villager said.
