Peddler nabbed with 164 g heroin

JAMMU, May 8: Bakshi Nagar Police today arrested a drug peddler with 164 grams of heroin.
“A team of Police Station Bakshi Nagar led by SDPO West Vikram Singh assisted by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Rakesh Sharma under the supervision of SP North Kulbir Handa, while on naka duty near Maheshpura Chowk rounded up a suspected person and during search, recovered 164 grams of heroin from his possession,” a Police spokesman said.
He said a case under FIR Number 64/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act was registered in this regard at Police Station Bakshi Nagar and the accused identified as Mohd Sharief son of Mohd Mirza, resident of Dhanore, Reasi (at present living in Phallain Mandal area of Jammu) arrested.
Further investigation of the case was going on, the spokesman added.
