Police arrests drug peddler, seizes 7.11 grams of heroin

KATHUA, May 9: Continuing its war on drugs to contain the spread of narcotics and psychotropic substances within the district, Kathua police seized approximately 7.11 grams of heroin like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of Police Station (PS) Kathua, and arrested one drug peddler.
Police said on May 8 a team of Police Station (PS) Kathua led by PSI, Fida Hussain under the supervision of DySP Headmarters Kathua, Manjeet Singh and SHO PS Kathua Inspector, Sudhir Sadhotra during patrolling in its jurisdictional area apprehended one person namely Krishan Lal, son of Kamal Dev of Kullian Chak Drab Khan Kathua who was doing illegal trade of narcotics. During checking approximately 7.11 grams of heroin like narcotics was recovered from his possession. Thereafter all the recovered narcotics was seized and one person was arrested. An instant case vide FIR No. 196/2023 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kathua and further investigation is underway.
