BMS delegation meets PF Commissioner, highlights workers’ issues

JAMMU, May 10: A deputation of Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh met with the PF Commissioner and apprised him about negligible or even no coverage of the workers under EPF, besides other issues.
The deputation, led by Harbans Choudhary, working president BMS; Ashok Choudhary, Organising Secretary BMS along with industrial workers submitted a memorandum to the PM Commissioner and explained that the workers are being denied this social security benefit.
They also alleged that some employers were not cooperating with the workers who had left the services with the result the latter were finding it difficult to get their PF withdrawn. PF grievances in Kathua area were also highlighted in the meeting.
The delegation also apprised the Commissioner that from the last few months, message of PF contribution was also not being received by the contributing workers.
The Commissioner gave a patient hearing and sorted out some of the grievances on the spot. He assured to look into the cases of less coverage or non coverage of workers. He further informed that his office has circulated a Whats Aapp number 6006567049 for receiving any complaint regarding EPF issues.
The BMS delegation appreciated the efforts of regional office working and extended all possible cooperation.
