JAMMU, May 10: Senior BJP leader (former Chairman Social Justice Committee) and JMC Councilor of Ward no. 52, Ajay Gupta here today started the construction work of footpath under Smart City Project.
Speaking on the occasion Gupta said that the footpath is being constructed from Baggar Mandi to Khurana Marble Chowk.
He said that it was a long pending demand of locals of the area which has been fulfilled today.
The JMC Councillor said that this work will enhance the beauty of the Ward and will also be helpful for the morning walkers.
He assured the residents of his Ward that remaining works shall also be completed soon.
Gupta said that he will leave no stone unturned to make the Ward a model one.
Many people raised the issues on this occasion which the Councillor listened patiently and assured to take the same to the concerned authorities for redressal.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Ward president, Nitin Thappa; Ajay Kumar, Vicky Gupta, Deepu Gupta, Ramesh Chander, Rakesh Azrawat, Jeet Khurana, Monu Gupta and others including shopkeepers of the area.
