SAMBA, May 10: Samba police, under the overall supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police, Benam Tosh, has arrested Principal of a private school for inflicting corporal punishment on a minor 4th class student upon the written complaint lodged by the family members.
The news regarding meting out physical punishment by the Principal to the 9 year old student, who was innocent and whose father has passed away, had gone viral on various social media platforms. The family members also lodged a written complaint against the Principal of Saffron Nightingale Public School, Rajinder Pura (Bagoona) Vijaypur at Police Station Vijaypur.
Police registered FIR No. 55/2023 under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Juvenile Justice Act at Police Station Vijaypur, conducted raids at suspected locations and arrested the accused Principal. Further investigation of the case and interrogation of the accused is underway.
The arrested Principal has been identified as Kuldeep Jallu alias Bablu son of Krishan Lal of Rajinder Pura ( Bagoona), tehsil Vijaypur district Samba. Arrest of the Principal was made by police team consisting of SHO Police Station, Vijaypur, Tribhawan Khajuria and PSI Sohail Munir under the supervision of DySP, Garu Ram and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary.
