REASI, May 10: Continuing the drive against drug abuse, Reasi Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin like substance from his possession.
According to Police, a party of Police Check Post Balini, while on patrolling, apprehended one person namely Khurshid Ahmed alias Bittu, son of Mohd Latief, resident of Peeda, District Ramban, A/P Balini Colony Banganga Katra.
During checking, three grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and seized the recovered drug.
In this connection, a case FIR number 147/2023, under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Katra and investigation initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.
