Cattle Smuggler Detained Under PSA In J&K’s Doda

JAMMU, May 12: A ”habitual” cattle smuggler has been detained after being slapped with the Public Safety Act in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda district, police said on Friday.
Yasir Hussain had five cattle smuggling cases registered against him, they added.
A resident of the district’s Behani Sherki village, Hussain was involved in ”habitual smuggling of cattle” over the past few years, the police said.
He was nabbed after District Magistrate Vishesh Mahajan issued a detention order against him under the Public Safety Act based on a police dossier, they said.
Mahajan has warned that people involved in unlawful activities such as cattle smuggling and drug trafficking will face the toughest action, the police added.
