Born on October 21, 1988 in Pune, Maharashtra, India, Harshad Khadiwale is a cricketer who plays for Maharashtra in Indian domestic cricket. He is a right-hand opening batsman and a right arm medium-fast bowler. He also represents Pune Warriors in Indian Premier League.
Khadiwale made his debut for Maharashtra at the age of 18 against Hyderabad during the 2006/07 season. During that season, he made 198 runs from 6 innings at an average of 33, scoring two fifties. He scored his first first-class hundred against Tamil Nadu in the first match of the 2007/08 season. In the back of some good knocks for Maharashtra in the next season, he was picked in the West Zone squad for Duleep Trophy. Ever since, he has been the most consistent batsman for Maharashtra.
In 2011, he was contracted by the IPL franchise Pune Warriors. He scored a double century in the ongoing Ranji trophy season and is eying a spot to be picked for the zone and not to talk of for Team India.
He has played 40 first class for Maharashtra has scored 2519 runs at an average 38.16 with 7 hundreds to his name. His top score is 262 runs which he scored against Goa in the current Ranji season. This has lead his runs to 3804 in 52 matches. He has also played 26 List A matches, making his debut against Gujarat in 2008 and has scored 757 runs till date with 79 as his best. He has 423 runs in 13 matches of IPL, with the top score of 88 runs.
