TBS Bhaderwah Campus organises career counselling session

BHADERWAH, May 13: The Business School, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, organised career counselling session during management activity for the management students.
The department invited Professor Alka Sharma, former Director TBS, Dr Amisha Gupta and Dr Komal Nagar, both associate professors in The Business School, University of Jammu.
The event commenced with welcome address by Dr Sunil Bhaderwah, Head of the Department, TBS Bhaderwah Campus, who apprised the audience that the department is on high growth trajectory and all the courses including BBA, B Com, MBA and Ph D are able to create a good demand as a result more than 110 students have been enrolled in the department.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Komal Nagar highlighted the importance of choosing right option for career after graduation degree. She stressed that business management is an appropriate career option for the students as Indian corporate sector is expanding and there is a lot of stress on skill oriented courses.
The lecture deliberated upon the career counselling, career planning and development.
Dr Amisha Gupta gave a detailed presentation on the process of getting admission in best business schools of country including The Business School, University of Jammu.
Professor Alka Sharma talked about the avenues and opportunities for incubation of new ideas of entrepreneurs. She informed the audience that Bhaderwah is known as Kerala of J&K and youth of Bhaderwah have a lot of potential and enthusiasm to do something in life. They can harness their true potential only if they skill and upskill themselves by choosing skill oriented courses like MBA.
The lecture was followed by an interactive session with the students, who were also apprised about the significance and relevance of NEP 2020 which provide holistic, student – centric, flexible and multidisciplinary education.
The session was attended by all the faculty members of the department including Dr Umesh Choudhary, Dr Rohit Bhagat, Dr Meenakshi Nargotra, Dr Surekha, Amit, Sonia, Rajinder Kumar. The formal proceedings of the event were carried out by Dr Meenakshi Nargotra.
The session ended with a formal vote of thanks by Dr Umesh Choudhary, senior faculty of TBS.
