KISHTWAR, May 13: Police here today arrested two notorious narcotic smugglers from two different locations and recovered 62 gm cannabis like substance from their possession.
On specific information cops established special Nakas led by PSI Rahul Sharma I/C Police Post Dool assisted by ASI Subash Chander and other cops of Police Post Dool under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqrs, Ashish Gupta and arrested two narcotic smugglers from Draba, Dool and recovered charas like substance weighing 62 gm from them.
The arrested persons were Yasar Hussain, son of Mohd Abbas, resident of Thathri, Doda and Musharat Hussain, son of Mohd Maqbool, resident of Gurain, Kishtwar.
In this regard a case in FIR No. 105/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and investigation taken up.
SSP Kishtwar Khalil Poswal has said that Kishtwar Police is striving hard and taking every possible step to make people especially youth aware to eradicate drug menace from the society.
