JAMMU, May 13: Police at Jhajjar Kotli rescued eight bovine animals from the clutches of smugglers and seized the vehicle involved in their transportation. Police sources informed that on intervening night of May 11-12 a Police Party of Police Station Jhajjar Kotli at a Naka in Sukehtar intercepted one vehicle of Pickup 407 make bearing registration number JK02CE/8788 loaded with eight bovine animals.
During checking of the vehicle 8 bovine animals were found loaded mercilessly in it in cruel manner. Driver of the vehicle fled away and the vehicle was seized and bovine animals were rescued. A case in this regard has been registered in FIR No. 87/2023 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA and investigation taken up.
