FICCI Chairman calls on Secy Tribal Affairs

JAMMU, May 16: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Chairman, J&K State Council, Rajesh Sharma, called on Administrative Secretary of Tribal Affairs and the Chief Executive Officer, J&K Mission Youth, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and discussed several issues related to youth work force.
The meeting began with a warm exchange of greetings and a shared commitment to fostering economic growth, social inclusivity and sustainable development in the region. The FICCI Chairman highlighted the importance of public-private partnerships in driving economic transformation and extending support to marginalized communities.
Recognizing the importance of inclusive growth, the Sharma reiterated FICCI’s commitment to working closely with the Administrative Secretary of Tribal Affairs and the CEO of J&K Mission Youth to implement sustainable and impactful projects in the region.
They agreed to establish a joint task force comprising representatives from FICCI, the government, Tribal Communities, and youth organizations to facilitate effective collaboration and monitor the progress of initiatives.
This meeting marks a significant step towards fostering collaboration and synergies between the private sector and the government in promoting Tribal development and empowering youth in Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr. Shahid Iqbal appreciated FICCI’s commitment to promoting sustainable development and economic empowerment. He underlined the government’s dedication to uplift tribal communities and welcomed FICCI’s support in fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing skills and creating avenues for gainful employment.
Dr Abdul Khabir, Deputy Director, Tribal Affairs Department, J&K and Riddhish Trehan, Assistant Director, FICCI, J&K State Council were also present during the meeting.
