JAMMU, May 16: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta and president Trikuta Complex Market, Suraj Sharma here today started lane and drain work near Trikuta Complex BC Road in Ward number 19.
The work shall be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 5 lakh and the lanes and drains in the area were in dilapidated condition since long due to which the locals and passersby especially the old persons were facing a lot of problems while passing through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion Amit Gupta asked the general public to come forward and cooperate with JMC in various development works undertaken by the urban local body in Jammu city.
He urged upon the locals to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine works and refrain from the habit of throwing garbage, filth etc in lanes and drain.
Gupta urged the people to adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
