DODA, May 17: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, along with Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Ch. Dil Mir and other District Officers today held a public grievances redressal programme at Khaurva Park, Panchayat Gajoth, Block Bhalla, of Sub District Bhaderwah under Block Diwas initiative of the UT administration.
Similar public outreach/ grievances redressal camps were held at Swaar Naag, Village Dhera, Tehsil Bhella, Sub Division Thathri; Panchayat Alnigangota B, Sub Division Gandoh; and Panchayat Bulandpur, Sub Division Assar.
Interacting with the public at Panchayat Gajoth, the DC informed that a Fire Tender would be stationed at Bhalla soon. He directed the Chief Education Officer to meet the shortage of staff at Government High School Gajote and other schools of the area. Instructions were also passed to renovate the Gajote panchayat road stretch at the take-off point near Bhalla.
The DC informed the locals about the Online Grievances Redressal System started by the Doda Administration and urged the public to post their grievances on the designated portal for quality and timely disposal without visiting any public office. He emphasised on making collective efforts to fight drug menace and making the district Swachh.
The DC said that six departments associated with agriculture and allied sectors are holding three-day Kisan Sampark Abhiyan camps in each panchayat of the district to promote interventions under Holistic Development of Agriculture & Allied Sectors aimed to enhance the farmers’ income in the district under. “Kisan Sampark Abhiyan camp has been scheduled on 29th to 31st of May for Gajote panchayat” he said and informed that he, along with ADC Bhaderwah and ACD Doda shall visit the camp on the scheduled date.
Other demands raised in the programme included construction of internal link roads, Establishment of Health, Veterinary and Sheep Husbandry centres in the panchayat, Play ground at Bhalla, Usage of acquired 250 kanal land for Army Goodwill Public School etc.
The DC, while addressing the issues, directed the concerned agencies to meet out the public aspirations and remain available for their service delivery physically as well as virtually.
The daylong Block Diwas proceedings were also witnessed at other three designated locations. Public and PRIs put forth a range of issues/ demands. They demanded augmentation of water supply and electricity, construction and macadamization of roads, meeting dearth of staff in schools and hospitals, upgradation of schools, banking facilities in rural areas, etc. The presiding officers of the Block Diwas, along with officers incharge of various departments, gave patient hearing to the issues and demands and have assured to resolve all the genuine demands/ issues at the earliest.
